The end of Daylight Saving Time
means, as the sun sets now, that I’m
plunged into darkness far too soon.
Who cares if I can see the moon?
The sunrise now comes earlier,
but does that make me surly? Sure!
I’d rather sleep right through the light
since I stayed up too late last night.
My body’s rhythm, modulated,
comes undone. Oh, God – I hate it.
I can hardly wait for summer;
all this dark and cold’s a bummer.
